Economy in Federal Way
Federal Way is home to world-class companies, as well as mom-and-pop businesses of all kinds, with the city boasting the second-highest number of businesses in South King County. With more than 57,000 working-age residents, yet only about 32,000 total jobs in the city, Federal Way is poised to supply a wide range of well-educated workers to a variety of new businesses. What’s more, with in-city, annual, per-capita retail sales of roughly 40% of the South King County average, Federal Way is a large, under-served market for a whole host of additional retail and service establishments.
